My name is Robert Struckman. I’m a writer based in Washington, DC, who works for the AFL-CIO. I have wide interests and journalistic habits, evidenced by the piles of boxes of notes and other research materials in my basement. Subjects of this research include one of the nation’s first school shooters, one of the architects of the Central Intelligence Agency and Montana’s landless Indian tribe. Most of my research and writing is centered on Montana, which is where I’m from.
The photograph of the comfortable, brown leather couch on my header was taken by my sister-in-law Susanna Gaunt, a talented photographer and teacher of photography. You can find her at susannagaunt.com. Or you can follow her at this awesome blog. The couch is in the living room of my folks’ home in Billings, Montana.
Any uncredited photos through the blog are my own.
